This fall, EI/ECSE and Lincoln County School District are launching a new preschool inclusion model at Toledo, Crestview, and Yaquina View elementary schools. Preschool teachers and EI/ECSE specialists will co-teach three mornings a week, supporting up to six children with higher support needs in each classroom as they learn and play alongside their peers.
In an inclusive classroom, children have opportunities to build friendships, practice social skills, and learn from one another. Co-teaching also gives educators time to share their expertise and plan together, strengthening the support available to every child.
We look forward to a year of learning, friendship, and inclusion in Lincoln County.
